So how did you get into the whole modeling thing?
I was approached by a photographer in a nightclub about a year ago, and it’s just snowballed from there in terms of job offers and referrals from photographers etc. I have tried to manage myself as much as possible, and I have a friend who is a really well known bikini / glamour model, who also gave me a lot of tips, so I know which jobs to take and which to turn down. So far I’ve been able to do the whole thing myself, without needing to use an agent, which is cool, because I’ve heard a lot of bad things about that through other friends who model, and have lost a lot of money that way. I think, it’s a great thing to be able to do, as long as you have your head screwed on straight, and only say yes to things you feel are right for you.

What were you doing before modeling?
I study psychology at Uni as well, so it’s both at the moment really. I was already studying when I was approached, so I’ve kept that up of course. There’s nothing worse than a silly girl who thinks modeling is all she needs to do!

What has been your most memorable moment?
So far, in modeling, it’s been the FHM shoot I did in July, for the September issue this year, and that was mostly because of the other two girls on the job, Jamie Lee, and Sarah Balkham. They were so much fun and we just had a fantastic time on that shoot. Sarah and I keep in touch by txt and are always annoying each other in uni lectures, even though she’s in Sydney and I’m in Brisbane, it’s heaps of fun. It’s so awesome when you meet great people on a shoot, because a lot of models can be really competitive and fake, but those girls were just absolutely ace!

Craziest moment in your life?
Probably the time I attempted to surf Uluwatu in Indonesia. It was my first time on a really short board (5’10”), and I paddled out into these huge 6ft+ waves, only to realize I wasn’t too confident duck diving! I got smashed into the reef at the bottom and had to paddle about a kilometer or two to Padang Padang to wash up on shore, sunburnt and exhausted from going against the rip. I then had to climb a cliff face with my surfboard, and hitch a ride on the back of a mini motorbike with a Balineese guy (still wet and in my bikini) to get back to the Uluwatu cave, where the rest of my crew was meant to be waiting. I then had to wait another 6 hours for the rest of the guys (who were all much better surfers than me) to finish up and come in. I was so hungryby then I nearly ate sand! Hehe. That was a pretty crazy moment!

What magazines will we see you in?
Most recently, FHM (September and October issues) and I pop up in Zoo weekly pretty often too. I did a shoot for US Penthouse recently, but I’m not sure when that comes out… but I’ll let you know when I find out ;)

Where do you see your self in the future?
Probably working part time as a psychologist, helping people find better ways of dealing with the kinds of problems we all face in life, doing a bit of life coaching… and spending all my spare time at the beach or on holidays. J You’ve got to dream big to win big. ;)

Do you play any sports?
I surf quite a lot (yes I finally mastered the duck dive a while ago). But other than that, I prefer to watch when it comes to spot.

What do you think about Motocross?
Motocross is hot. All the guys that are into it are sexy cause they’re so passionate about it. I don’t know what goes into it specifically, but from what I can tell, it’s a lot of time money and injury, so you guys aren’t messing around! It’s so cool to see guys (and girls) take those risks all for the high they get out of achieving the next trick or goal, that’s so admirable. The only other thing I know about motocross is Erin Normolyle…she’s hot!

Have you ever ridden a dirt bike?
I’ve only ridden a mini bike by myself when I was a kid, at my friend’s farm with a bull chasing us through a field, that was heaps of fun. My dad had a bike and I used to love it so much when I was a kid, I’d get on it and pretend to be a big motorbike hero. I cried when he sold it for a better car!

Any last comments?
Keep doing what you love and taking risks for what you are passionate about. Be loyal and loving to the people close to you, and give everyone else 40 seconds to show you who they are before you judge…if you still hate them after that, cest la vie, live without them. Oh and try and stay out of hospital you maniacs!
