Woodstock Honda Thor racer Craig Anderson is today celebrating his 30th birthday, but the 12-time Australian Champion won't be partying with family and friends.
Instead, Anderson is immersed in his training routine as he prepares for this weekend's demanding Stroke Supercross Summer Nationals event in Dubbo.
In top form, Anderson recently demonstrated that age isn't slowing him yet as he wowed and the fans with four wins from four races in round one of the Supercross Summer Nationals in Tooradin (VIC).
The Novocastrian racer is determined to repeat the feat this weekend in Dubbo and take out the Summer Nationals series with maximum points.
Incorporating swimming, running, cycling and weights into his fitness regime, Anderson has been training intensely aboard his Honda CRF450R alternating between motocross and supercross disciplines to be in peak condition for the Supercross Summer Nationals and the upcoming Australian Motocross Championship.
And what do you get a racing star for his 30th birthday? Anderson's wife Katrina framed a selection of magazine front covers that he has featured on, while his parents gave him a cordless drill.
CRAIG ANDERSON
"It would be nice to kick back and celebrate with a bunch of friends, but this weekend's supercross is going to be a big event and I want to be fully prepared.
"I'm pretty determined to take out the night with four straight wins, like I did in Tooradin, so I really need to stick to my training routine right now.
"Hopefully, we'll have even more to celebrate after Saturday night… winning the summer supercross series with full points would be a great birthday present."
